Carol Queen, PhD is a writer, speaker, educator and activist with a doctorate in sexology. She is the staff sexologist at Good Vibrations, and a cofounder of the Center for Sex and Culture.
Kai Wright is a writer and editor in Brooklyn, NY, whose work explores the politics of sex, race, and health. Kai contributes to publications ranging from Mother Jones to Essence magazines, and is a columnist for TheRoot.com. He is author of Drifting Toward Love: Black, Brown, Gay and Coming of Age on the Streets of New York, as well as two books of African-American history.
Debbie Nathan has been a journalist, editor and translator for almost three decades. Her work has been published in venues as varied as The Village Voice, The Nation, MS., Playboy, The New York Times, Redbook and Counterpunch. Debbie’s work has won numerous awards, including: a 2008 Sex-Positive Journalism Award, The H.L. Mencken Award for Investigative Journalism, PEN West Award for Journalism, several prizes from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, the Texas Institute of Letters Award for feature journalism, the Hugh Hefner First Amendment Award for Journalism, and the John Bartlow Martin Award for Public Service Journalism.
Liza Featherstone is a journalist based in New York City. She wrote "Sex, Lies, and Women's Magazines" for Columbia Journalism Review and is the author of two books on student activism and workers' rights.
Doug Henwood is the founding editor of Left Business Observer, a contributing editor of The Nation, and host of a radio weekly program on WBAI (New York). He is the author of Wall Street (Verso 1997, now available for free download); The State of the USA, a social atlas; and After the New Economy.
Amanda Robb is an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, Marie Claire, George, and More. She is a contributing writer for O: The Oprah Magazine, a winner of a first place Sex-Positive Journalism Award in 2008, and is at work on a book about the abstinence movement.
Debby Herbenick, PhD, MPH is a sex educator for The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction, where she writes the syndicated Kinsey Confidential column and hosts its podcasts (KinseyConfidential.org). Debby is also a research scientist and associate director for the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University, a sex columnist for Men’s Health, Time Out Chicago, Velocity, and Cheeky Chicago and blogs at MySexProfessor.com. Her first book, Because It Feels Good: A Woman’s Guide to Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction, will be published this summer.
Rachel Kramer Bussel is a writer, editor, blogger and reading series host. She's Senior Editor at Penthouse Variations, and a former columnist for The Village Voice and TheFrisky.com. She's edited over 25 anthologies, including Best Sex Writing 2008 and 2009, and has written for AVN, Clean Sheets, Cosmopolitan, Huffington Post, New York Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and other publications.
